Every day I take the bus to school. First I go by bike to the bus station which takes approximately 10 minutes for me to get there. Which means I have to leave my bike somewhere near that area. However the annoying thing is that there is almost no room for your bike! People now put their bikes outside where they are meant to be put, against walls and things like that. The commune is not happy about that and is planning to remove all the bikes which are placed wrong. They are planning on doing this unannounced. There now actually is a chance that I quikly have to leave my bike over there because I need to catch the bus, and when I return my bike could be gone. They should be thinking of expanding the area for bikes. Since the station is crowded with bikes everywhere. People don’t want to store their bikes in the wrong place, they simply have no choice. When you are in a hurry to catch a bus or train you are not going to search forever to find a good spot for your bike, it just does not work that way!

Dear Sir or Madam,
When I was looking at your website, the course of English as a Foreign Language for international students came to my attention.
I have finished High school two a year ago and I am now in my first year of corporate communications. I have always been interested in improving my English. I have written several articles in English for different websites. However some information is not totally clear to me. I read on your websites that the course is taking place during the summer but there is no actual date, could you tell me something more about when the course is taking place? Your websites also says the course takes two weeks, is this correct? Also I would like to know what the required level of English for this course is. Is there an exam at the end of the course or are we graded by our overall performance during the course? Also I would like to if students are supposed to arrange a place to stay by them self or if there are any other options.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully

Assignment 10 Prepare Business meeting
The Marketing Manager
The magazine being outdated:
I think that the magazine actually is a great effort but, it is not efficient enough. A lot of effort is put into creating this magazine however it is not accomplishing its goal. The magazine is meant to inform employees and bring them together. But in fact the employees are reading stories they already know about.
No new information:
The magazine is generally not bringing any new information to its reader because when the magazine is published, the information has already reached these employees by different media sources. Furthermore because of the magazine being outdated from its release it is not contributing to creating a corporate identity.
Share more information:
The Layetana Beef Company would be better off with employees knowing what actually is going on within the company. We should be sharing more information with our employees about who does what and where. This could be accomplished by introducing an intranet website for our company.
Intranet:
Having such a websites has a lot of benefits for our company. The problem of information being outdated from its release would be solved. Every employee is able to visit this intranet from anywhere he would like to. Because of the information being new to them the employees would be much more interested into reading these articles. This will also contribute to creating a corporate identity.
Weekly Newsletter:
A weekly newsletter sent to all our employees by e-mail would also be a very appropriate option. This is a good way of sharing information with our employees which would contain subject that are important in that week. Weekly reading a newsletter about our company would create a connection between our employees and the company.
TV screens:
We could also introduce screens in the Company hall and the Staff restaurant using them to provide company news. This would be a very unforced way of sharing information with our employees and staff. Employees and staff are free to pay attention to the screens or do not. In this way employees would not feel forced to read this information.

Dear Mr Sandman,
I would like to apply for a job at you’re music store. Since I study in London I am looking for a job in London, and since I love music and all it’s aspects I’d love to work in such an environment as well.
I’ve already worked in a music store before in Manchester, I enjoyed it a lot but, I had to quit because of my study in London. I worked there for over 2 years, which only strengthened my interest for the music!
I’m looking forward to you’re response!
Kind regards,

FROM: Jelle Dekker, Communications Department

SUBJECT: Super Sports Day
We want to organize a sports event for all our Dutch and American employees and their families.
The event would be a good thing for the spirit within the company. Employees would get to know each other better which would affect their work relation in a positive way. Besides that sports are healthy, and a healthy person is more likely to be a happy person. An employee in a good mood will deliver better results. Eventually the Super Sports Day will be an advantage for both parties, the company and our employees. Tennis seems like an appropriate choice to us. The skill level does not differ much in general, which will keep the Super Sports Day fun for everybody
If there is any question about the Super Sports Day unanswered, do not hesitate to contact us. We are looking forward to a great sports event.
